Summer is fast approaching and team Sibbalds have been embracing the warmer weather by getting active!
Derby hosted its annual 10k running event on 7th April and a team of Sibbalds employees took it upon themselves to face the challenge, with all participants successfully crossing the line within a very respectable 65 minutes. Team Sibbalds also finished 17th out of the 80 corporate groups running. It was safe to say there were some aches and pains the following Monday morning, but there were no complaints as it was all for a brilliant cause. Once again we partnered with our friends at the local charity Children First Derby to raise some much-needed funds to support the amazing work they do for disadvantaged local children.
Looking forward into June some of our team have decided to take it a step further, with Brendan Nightingale and Chris Holt entering the Derby half-marathon! The course takes its runners through a scenic tour of Derby and past some of the city’s most well-known landmarks, including Pride Park Stadium and Elvaston Castle. We are all looking forward to supporting them on the day as well as hoping the weather holds up!
We wish them both the best of luck!
