Brendan Nightingale

I joined Sibbalds in August 2018, as a Trainee Accountant. I am currently working towards my AAT Level 3 Qualification with Babington College.

Qualifications and experience

I have recently finished my A-level studies at Derby College, and subsequent to this, I decided to head straight into accountancy with a view of gaining better accountancy knowledge and experience from a more practical learning environment early on in my career.

What I like about my role

I enjoy working in a team to develop my skills and gain useful knowledge to aid my progression in accountancy. Similarly, I like the fact that I am able to continually grow my skills in a workplace that is supportive, and I am sure this position will enable me to use my growing knowledge to provide a good quality of service to clients.

Things I enjoy outside of Sibbalds

I am a keen Arsenal supporter, but I am also a rugby fan as well as a basketball fan so spend a lot of my free time watching or participating in sport. Similarly, I take part in a lot of running events, specifically 5km races. I also spend my time producing music beats with some equipment I picked up a while back just for fun, as I’m a big rap enthusiast.

Something you might not know about me

I once walked around 60km through the peak district in a competition with my brother, dad and aunt. It took us less than 12 hours, and we covered Kinder Scout and Mam Tor along with many other areas. I have also walked the Wilmot Wander and also a 50km or so walk around the Derby area itself which took around 10 hours.
