Shaun Freeman

I joined Sibbalds in October 2018 as part of the book keeping and accounts preparation department.

Qualifications and experience

After leaving St Benedict’s Catholic Sixth form I proceeded to pursue a career in Accountancy. I originally trained in the AAT at a firm in Ripley where I worked as an Accounts Trainee dealing with the start to finish accounts process. It was at this point I decided to attend Liverpool John Moores University to attain a BA (Hons) degree in Accountancy and Finance.

After graduating, I worked at a local Derby Accountancy practice as a Business Services Accountant where I would deal with all aspects of accounts, book keeping, business tax and personal tax.

What I like about my role

I enjoy working with the strong team of professionals here at Sibbalds and the drive to provide the best service possible to its clients. I aim to continue to work closely with the team and help drive the vision Sibbalds has for the firm.

Things I enjoy outside Sibbalds

I like to keep fit and go to the gym regularly and I am currently looking into joining a local basketball team. When I’m not doing this I like to spend my time in the countryside and spending time with my friends and family.

Something you might not know about me

I am quite badly colour blind, getting all colours mixed up as well as not being able to register some colours. When I joined the first practice I was employed at, I mistakenly bought several shirts under the impression they were white…. they were pink.
