Paul Hanson

I joined Sibbalds in May 1997 and work on the preparation of self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts. I also work on Capital gains tax planning and issues relating to employee benefits.

Qualifications and Experience

Honours degree in Mathematics with Theoretical Mechanics and Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

What I enjoy most about the role

Helping clients organise their tax affairs, overcome their challenges and pay the minimum amount of tax due.

Things I enjoy doing outside of Sibbalds

Live comedy, world cinema and cooking.

Something you might not know about me

I share my birthday with, among others, Samuel Morse (Scientist), Tess Daley (TV Presenter), Darcey Bussell (Dancer) and Ulysses S. Grant (American general and politician).

I’m a fairly skilled roller-skater, having played roller hockey and performed trick sessions as a teenager.

I can sneeze with my eyes open.
