I joined Sibbalds auditing team at the start of 2022 with the ambition to assist in all aspects accounting and to qualify and become a Chartered Accountant.
Qualifications and experience
I originally started my finance career working in industry for an international loans company. I then moved to a practice in Nottingham where I naturally took on an Audit role having worked closely with Auditors in the past. As well as auditing I also gained experience in doing accounts, payroll and self-assessments which has allowed me to gain a well-rounded knowledge of the accounting industry. During this time, I completed my AAT and started my ACA (ICAEW) qualification.
What I like about my role:
I mostly enjoy the interaction with the large variety of clients at Sibbalds. I like to delve into the clients business to gain an understanding of what they do and try to assist them in the accounting services they require but also to provide financial solutions where possible.
Things I enjoy outside Sibbalds
I love sport! I currently play rugby for my local team as well as getting on the golf course wherever possible. Along with this I like to participate in other recreations including squash and yoga.
Something you might not know about me
I am a black belt in Ju-Jitsu.
