We’re really pleased to welcome Joanne Gregory back as our Audit Manager. Joanne, who is now a Chartered Certified Accountant, originally joined Sibbalds as a trainee accountant and left to gain a wider variety of audit-related experience and work with different firms of varying sizes and across many sectors and industries.
During her time away from Sibbalds, she worked for a number of prominent local firms including a large firm with a nationwide presence. She specialises in construction and manufacturing companies but has a wide variety of experience of differing entities and sectors including schools, colleges, local charities and FCA registered firms.
Joanne enjoys seeing businesses that have developed from their start up phase into their growth phase and provides them with tools and advice to make their plans successful, suggesting ideas to assist them in their goals. She likes to share her extensive experiences of best practice in business processes and controls as well as helping them identify potential business risks and develop strategies for mitigating these and coping with the many changes a business will face.
Joanne also enjoys challenging preconceived perceptions of what an auditor does. Her aim is not just to ensure that financial statements are reliable but also to add value to the business being reviewed.
Outside of work, Joanne loves cars and anything motor sport related including Formula One. She is a member of a car enthusiasts club and attends car shows and track days helping run some of them herself.
Joanne has a dog that she and her husband adopted from a rescue charity which she loves taking on long walks in the local countryside.
Something you might not know about Joanne
When I was 11, I was a member of a school choir. We performed at the Derby Cathedral in a regional competition and won. I am sure anyone who hears me sing now would find that rather surprising.
