As some of you may well be aware, one of our own directors here at Sibbalds, David Bowler has been training recently in order to compete in Tough Mudder 2014. We are very pleased to say that David took part in the event last month and completed the course in an extremely good time.
For those of you who may not know, Tough Mudder is an endurance event series in which participants attempt 10–12-mile-long military-style obstacle courses. Designed and created by British Special Forces to test mental as well as physical strength, obstacles often play on common human fears, such as fire, water, electricity and heights.
Pictured below is David working his way through the Artic Enema obstacle, a -10 degrees mud tunnel filled with ice.
David completed the challenge alongside his brother Simon, Uncle Mark (who is 55!) Cousin Laura and Sister in Law Rebecca. He was competing in memory of his Grandma, who sadly passed away this year, and decided to raise money through sponsorship to donate to the Alzheimer’s Society. You can still donate to David’s Fundraising by visiting his Just Giving page which can be found here https://www.justgiving.com/David-Bowler/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=emails-from-eua&utm_content=shorturl&utm_campaign=eua-email-sponsorshiprequest.
