Julie Rogerson AAT

I joined Sibbalds in 1986 where my role has generally been book-keeping. I complete this mainly using the sage book-keeping software. We have also just started using the Xero acounting software for a few clients as well. I work in the office, from home and visit clients at their premises.

From the sage book-keeping I prepare VAT returns, management accounts (monthly, quarterly and 4 monthly) and generally this helps to complete the annual accounts.

Qualifications and Experience

I completed the AAT qualification many years ago! I have had 28 years of experience so have a vast knowledge of book-keeping and accounts.

What I enjoy most about the role

I enjoy book-keeping and getting a client’s books and records completed and up to date is a very satisfying feeling.

I enjoy working as part of a team at Sibbalds and believe that we offer a very good service to our clients. We have a good work ethic at work where we help each other and we strive to give the same help to our clients.

We will always try to go the extra mile to help clients out where we can.

Things I enjoy doing outside of Sibbalds

I am married with 2 daughters who are aged 12 and 15. I enjoy walking, reading and going to the theatre. I’m currently enjoying walking in parts of Derbyshire, with my family, that I’ve not visited before as we drop one of our daughters off at various locations around Derbyshire as she completes her D of E expedition training. I am also a treasurer on a school PTA and help at school discos and various fairs throughout the year!

Something you might not know about me

I have climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge and I don’t like heights!
