How we got on at this year’s Midlands Better Business Expo

Where did that time go? Just over a week ago we were excited to be exhibiting at our first ever “Expo”, the Midlands Better Business Expo, held at the iconic Derby Arena.

 

As it was our first foray into the world of exhibiting, we decided to go all out and invest as much time and energy as we could into making our stand the best it could be. And we couldn’t be prouder of what our team achieved together as you can see from the photos 😊

 

We ran a Screwball Scramble challenge (check out this video here if you haven’t seen or heard of it) which got a lot of interest from the attendees, with all the participants getting a Certificate Of Achievement and a complimentary Sibbalds Pay Less Tax KitKat! It’s much harder than the video shows, we aren’t quite sure how you can do it in the 1-minute time limit allowed by the timer, but we’re going to keep practising in our team room to see if we can do it!

 

The winner of the competition was Amber Stevens from NatWest with an impressive time of 1m 7 s, who will receive a complimentary Spotlight Profiling session with Sara, who is accredited by Mind Flick to deliver this.

 

David Bowler was up on stage, presenting a short 20-minute talk on How to Make More Profit, Pay Less Tax and Work Fewer Hours, which is something we aim to help our business owner clients achieve, and which gathered a good crowd.

 

We’ve made lots of great contacts for future strategic partnerships, or where we might be able to assist them with accounting and tax related matters, so it was a big success and we look forward to exhibiting again next year. Plus we’ve got lots of KitKats left over!
