I joined Sibbalds in 2019 as a school leaver starting my career as receptionist with the view to become an accountant. Since then, I have completed my Level 3 and 4 AAT qualifications, and I am now working towards my ACA and CTA qualifications through a Level 7 Apprenticeship.
Qualifications and experience
After completing my AAT, I have continued to study, and I am now working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser. I have gained a lot of experience at Sibbalds having been involved in statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation and personal tax returns, auditing, and bookkeeping.
What I enjoy most about my role
I love the challenge of accountancy and taxation, and I’m always eager to expand my knowledge and skills. I enjoy helping clients make the most of their accountancy software, ensuring they fully understand their figures so they can make informed decisions and promote business growth. Being part of a supportive team where we collaborate and learn from each other to achieve the best results is also a great benefit of working at Sibbalds.
Things I enjoy doing outside of Sibbalds
Outside of Sibbalds, I am part of a local football club, I really enjoy playing football and the challenges that come along with each game. I am also a Derby County season ticket holder, so I like to go and watch them play often.
Something you might not know about me
I used to be part of a dance school, and we did a group dance in front of Hobby Craft at the Kingsway Retail Park to mark the opening of the store.
