I joined Sibbalds in August 2019 as receptionist and admin support but I am now training to become an accountant and working towards my AAT Level 3 Qualification. I hope to pass all exams and then study for the ICAEW qualification and become a Chartered Accountant. When required, my other duties include greeting clients, in person or on the telephone, and answering any queries they may have. When required, I am also involved in assisting in the smooth running of reception and administrative systems.
Qualifications and experience
I recently left school with 8 GCSE’S, one of which I took as an extra GCSE and worked towards outside of school hours.
I have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, a hair salon, and being responsible for things such as: greeting clients, booking appointments, talking over the telephone. I have been able to carry over these skills into my job at Sibbalds.
I am studying towards Level 3 AAT and I hope to complete this qualification successfully and then move onto my ICAEW qualification.
What I enjoy most about my role
I enjoy working in a team which helps me to develop skills needed to becoming an accountant and provide an excellent service to clients and enjoy using the computer systems and finding out more efficient ways to do my job every day. I enjoy greeting the clients and being able to help them with any enquires they might have if and when required.
Things I enjoy doing outside of Sibbalds
Outside of Sibbalds, I am part of a local football club, I really enjoy playing football and the challenges that come along with each game. I am also, and have been all my life, a Derby County supporter, so I like to go and watch them play often.
Something you might not know about me
I once met the rapper Dappy from N-Dubz outside of my old dance studio, he put his sunglasses on me for a photo but accidently poked me in the eye with them!
