I joined Sibbalds in August 2014 as part of the accounts preparation department where I now work as an Accounts Senior. My role is to prepare the year-end accounts for a variety of client businesses including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
Qualifications and Experience:
After leaving John Port School with 11 GCSEs, an Extended Project Qualification and A-Levels in Maths, ICT and Economics, I chose to follow a career in accountancy.
I joined Sibbalds Chartered Accountants, gained valuable practical knowledge and completed a level 4 AAT qualification. In October 2020, I successfully completed my ACA training contract and I am now a fully qualified Chartered Accountant
What I enjoy most about the role
What I enjoy most is the opportunity to work within a fast-paced and professional accountancy environment which had been my goal throughout much of my education.
I enjoy the variety of experiences and skills I develop by working on a diverse range of client businesses.
Things I enjoy doing outside of Sibbalds
Outside of Sibbalds, I spend time with family and friends and I enjoy running which led to me completing the Derby 10K in 50 minutes 57 seconds.
Something you might not know about me
I attended the Air Training Corps for several years and took part in parades at the Menin Gate in Belgium, Normandy in France and twice at the Battle of Britain Parade at Westminster Abbey in London.
