I joined Sibbalds in November 2021 as a trainee accountant and am currently studying towards my ACA Level 7.
Qualifications and experience
I Left Derby College with an A-level in Mathematics, Economics and Further mathematics. I always wanted to be an accountant since school so when I left, I looked for an apprenticeship so I could learn on the job with the team.
I was handed a great opportunity and joined Sibbalds at the end of November 2021 to begin my career as an apprentice accountant with goals to become a Chartered Accountant in the long term.
Since then, I have achieved my level 3 and 4 AAT.
What I like about my role
I really enjoy the professional feel of the workplace at Sibbalds – everyone is very friendly; they make it easy for new people to feel welcome and allow us to engage with the team and clients. I also value the wide range of skills that each individual has to offer the firm and the experience they can share with the younger staff.
Things I enjoy outside Sibbalds
Outside of Sibbalds I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and playing a variety of sports with them. We like to change the sport we play regularly so everyone has a chance to shine – it makes the games more unpredictable.

I spend a lot of my time listening to music and I never stick to a particular genre.
