Position: Bookkeeper and payroll executive
We’re recruiting for a bookkeeper and payroll executive to join our team due to continuing growth across all areas of the business.
Bookkeeping
You will be responsible for processing the financial data for a variety of businesses using Quickbooks and Xero, on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis – either in our offices, or at client’s premises – up to trial balance stage. In addition, you will be assisting clients to set up book-keeping software and systems (primarily Xero) and training them on how to use it.
High level knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero is essential, with an awareness of the various add-ons and applications that can be used with them would be a distinct advantage. Possessing a recognised qualification such as AAT or IAB/ICB would be advantageous.
Payroll
The role will also involve processing the payroll for a portfolio of clients, dealing with payroll related queries, and assisting the payroll manager with the smooth running of the department to provide our clients with the highest levels of service.
A good understanding of payroll (PAYE/NIC/Auto-enrolment) is important, and experience of using Iris Payroll Professional would be ideal, although full training will be provided on the systems and processes we have.
Experience:
You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably gained within several different businesses or an accountancy practice and have excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
